EASY INSTALLATION FOR FB1000-7000 HEAD BOARD BRACKET KIT:

Locate the two bolt inserts at the head of the bed on the rail above the legs.

You will use the bracket as shown above.  Be sure that the rounded part of the bracket is facing up and toward the inside.

(this bracket is on the left side of the base at the head as you are facing it from the foot)

Place the bracket on top of rail and line up the holes of the bracket to the bolt inserts as shown.  You will have three holes to choose from which will allow you to adjust the space between the head board and the base.  Example:  for the head board to be closer to the head of the base you will line up the holes as shown above.  But, for the headboard to be away from the head of the base you will line hole “3” up where hole “2” is and so forth.  Once you have determined the distance that is needed for your adjustable base to work properly, you will use the large bolts with blue paint mark on threads of bolt and the large washers to secure the bracket to the base.

After you have secured the bracket you will need to attach the “T” bar to the bracket as follows. On the “T” bracket you will notice that there is a flat side and an indented side.   You will need to have the indented side facing away from the wall toward the base.  As shown in the picture above.

After you have slid the “T” bar on to the bracket you will secure the two together with the small nuts and bolts provided using two per side.  The extra holes in the “T” bar and bracket are for adjusting the “T” bar to the proper width needed to attach your free-standing headboard.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind as install these brackets.

You do not want to place your head board too close to the head of the base as that may result in interference of proper raising and lowering of the head of you base when you have your mattress on the base.

Our brackets are made to fit most headboards and can be attached by using the bolts that come with the headboard itself.
